From November 12th to 14th, the Hub4Food team travelled to Galway, Ireland to celebrate its 4th Consortium Meeting at BIA Innovator Campus facilities. Some of the members also visited Teagasc facilities in Dublin, Ireland.
During the meeting, all members compiled the activities carried out so far and discussed the next steps and lessons learned.
Hub4Food partners took the chance to be part of the citizen science action organized by BIA and Teagasc called “GUT ED – Seaweed, Science and Health”, aimed to explore the relationship between seaweed and gut health, highlighting its nutritional and therapeutic potential.
It hosted general public, students educators, local food entrepreneurs, community members, food researches and agrifood stakeholders interested in health, nutrition, and sustainable marine foods.
This dynamic week served as a significant boost for the Hub4Food community, reinforcing partnerships and laying the groundwork for continued progress toward a more sustainable, ocean-driven European food system.
