Conventional and Emerging Technologies (Thermal and Non-Thermal)
Inov.linea is characterized with two main aspects: the scale-up of food manufacturing processes, up
to TRL 6 to 9, and the access to new or emerging technologies. Regarding scale-up, Inov.linea is equipped with pilot equipment suited for fruits and vegetables processing., which allows for the production of several types of products as pulps, juices and concentrates, among others, up to 400 kg/h.
The existing meat products equipment allows for productions up to 100kg/h and can also be used for plant based products processing. In respect to new and emerging technologies, Inov.linea gives its clients and partners the possibility of experimenting and use several innovative equipment:
.Ohmic Heating pilot plant, with a capacity up to 400kg/h;
.Pulsed Electric Fields, with batch and continuous processing up to 400kg/h;
.Ultraviolet processing for liquids (up to 100 kg/h) and solids (through cabinet processing);
.Ultrasound, batch or continuous up to 20 kg/h;
.High hydrostatic pressure, up 6 liters per batch.
Inov.linea also has an industrial license which allows the resulting products to be tested in the market with the assurance that all the legal requisites are fulfilled.
