Intense Pulsed-Light

Intense Pulsed light (IPL) is a technique to decontaminate surfaces by killing microorganisms using pulses of an intense broad spectrum, rich in UV-C light. Decontamination of packaging and food products with smooth surfaces.
For exemple, it is an interesting alternatives for replacing traditional alcohol spraying.
IPL could be used in order to decolorize macro- and microalgae (removal of unappealing green color) to facilitate their integration in food formulation.
